Roses

Watercolor on 140 lb watercolor paper using Prismacolor watercolor pencils and Winsor&Newton watercolors. This is the first time I am using watercolor pencil for my painting. My verdict : I found a medium that I am definitely gonna use for my future paintings. The roses are my neignbor’s. Yeah, I asked her permission to take photos of the roses. She has around nine rose bushes in her front yard. Maybe I see more rose paintings in the future.
I am not entirely pleased with the outcome of this painting. I feel that the background need more weight but it seems okay because I want to highlight the flowers. They look so “sun-kissed”.
