Drawing Day – A Portrait
June 7, 2008

I am participating for the drawing day event by submitting this portrait photo of a South Indian film personality. In my opinion, the person in the portrait has no resemblance to the actress. But wait! Hold you palm up in front of the painting; cover the right-half/left-half of the portrait with your palm; squint and close only your right eye.Now you will see some semblance with the actress. So I guess I have a lot of work cut out for me to improve on this portrait drawing…
If you are wondering who that South Indian personality is, it is Sandhya. (:P)

You should try out ratemydrawings.com since you know how draw…why not give it a try…all though I don’t know if you draw well on a computer…:)
A tablet could help!
My website is http://www.megaartistico.co.nr
Hi zlatka, I did try drawing in ratemydrawings.com; but using just a mouse was so tedious and it hurt my wrist. I found from others’ works that it is quite different from how you draw by hand. So I gave up on it due to frustration.
How do you draw? – R

But anyway I’m making videos a bit for youtube (drawing videos) with a mouse I start to record…hypercam 2 helps a lot then camstudio.
I have few advices for you. While drawing use a little paper and put it under your hand to prevent the drawing to get smudged from your hand…black pencil makes the drawing even better because it is darker and you can see it better than the normal pencil which is a bit shinny and is hard to see sometimes. Now on my blog you have like realistic shading topic…which helps making drawing realistic.while drawing have some fun listening to music (no heavy metal you will ruin your drawing XD)
And that’s about it:)
