Waterlily Series No.9
January 1st, 2012 § 4 Comments

It has been a long pause since my last post.I have been so carried away with my kid’s school and homework that this painting took me about a month to complete. And there is another incomplete painting before this too. I need to go back and complete that painting. Having said that the waterlily painting is the last painting for the year 2011.
I hope to do more figure drawings and then eventually figure painting for this year. I need to practice more on figure drawings. Surprisingly, I got a gift kit of a book on figure drawing and a manikin.I have been planning to buy one for a long time. I hope to include posts on my figure drawing practice with you this year. With continuous practice, I hope to progress from skeletal manikin figures to fully-clothed real life figures. As I write more about it, it sounds more and more like a new year resolution. Well then, so be it.

I love the colors you chose for this, Raji. The reflection is beautiful and the shapes draw me in. Happy New Year to you and your resolution sounds great.
Happy New Year! Great job with the waterlilly painting
Nicely done! I hope you have a wonderful New Year!
This is beautiful Raji. I love the colours and the refelction. So subtle and elegant.
Nice plan…I’ve also planned on few things, let me see how well I can fare on it:)
