Still Life Challenge
January 15th, 2012 § 6 Comments

I did a painting challenge after a very long time. I used to do the now-defunct challenge of Karin Jurick. But I lacked the motivation to do the subsequent painting challenges that came later. This time, I decided to do the painting challenge in rookie painter. I loved how the watercolor paintings of still life looked like and I wanted to give a try. So, here it is.
Strawberries and Stacked bowls
7 by 5 inches on Arches 140# cp
P.S : This is my 150th post .Yay!

This is really nice. I’m to give the rookie painter a try for the next one which will be shortly I think.
Thanks,Louis. Welcome to my blog. It is fun participating painting challenges and see other painters’ interpretations from the same reference photo.
Excellent job! And congratulations on 150 post, you have had a lot to offer.
Thanks Ryan! I am looking forward to 150 more posts.
Congratulations on 150, Raji! This painting is awesome. The strawberries have a sparkle to them and I really like the warm earthen tones in the three bowls with the white one for contrast. Very cool!
Wow…this is an excellent rendition. I did this in another blog, same challenge. Loved the light, shade and reflection:)
Congrats on ur 150th post:)))
